Substance Misuse Prevention for Youth with ACES - 2 CE

This presentation explores the critical role substance misuse prevention can play when working with youth with identified ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences). Providing substance misuse prevention services to youth with ACES, can help the youth develop protective factors that may prevent them from engaging in substance misuse to cope with their situation. Kelli Knapp is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Prevention Specialist with 24 years of experience in substance misuse prevention in Onslow and Carteret Counties. She co-owns Community Prevention Services in Jacksonville, NC, and holds various roles on local committees and commissions focused on mental health and substance abuse.
