Two legendary community forces are coming together for a special Juneteenth and Pride kick-off celebration �
Good in the Hood is proud to partner with RACE TALKS, in collaboration with Maxey Pomerantz Consulting, to present:
�STYLE, STORY & LEGACY�: A Night of Fashion, Comedy & Celebration
This special evening brings together the spirit of Good in the Hood's Roots, Rhythm & Power tradition with RACE TALKS 5th Annual History of Black Drag in Portland, creating an evening that celebrates Black history, creativity, joy, and the many voices that continue to shape Portland's cultural legacy.
Hosted by Poison Waters, Lawanda Jackson, and Eric Island the evening will feature:
• Fashion showcasing local Black designers and models with DJ Eddie
• Black drag performances and a history panel discussion
• Stand-up comedy and live entertainment, including a special performance by Donna Jones
• Music and vibes from DJ Ashé and DJ Aspen
• A community marketplace featuring Black-owned businesses and makers
• Buffet dinner options, VIP experiences, and a cash bar
