Tickets must be purchased prior to class to attend.We recommend registering at least 2 hours prior to class to guarantee a spot in the class. Walk ins are usually unavailable. Class begins promptly at time listed. Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will be considered a cancellation with no refund.

Build a strong foundation for your at home studio practice in this Studio Basics Workshop. This informative, hands-on class covers the essential knowledge every ceramic artist needs to work safely and confidently in a shared or personal studio space. You’ll learn key safety practices, the process of reclaiming clay, and you’ll also get an introduction to kiln basics, including how firings work and what to expect from the process.
In addition, we’ll cover how to properly hydrate and maintain commercial glazes to ensure consistent, successful results in your work. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge, this workshop sets you up with the skills and confidence to get the most out of your studio experience.
Must be 16 years old and have a guardian sign a waiver if under 18. Please take the necessary precautions if you have any cuts or abrasions on your hands. Wear clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting mud on! Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start of class, to ensure attendance at the start of class.
