Join us September 19th at 7:00pm and 20th at 1:00pm and 7:00pm for our Student Playwright Showcase featuring shows written by student playwrights to perform at the newly renovated Beale Street Theater: Adalyn Scroggins “A Dreamer’s Mirage”
Synopsis: Four siblings find themselves in a land of sweet dreams, but it’s not all it appears to be. Can Sagesse, a wise guardian of dreams, help them stop the devious Fraudrin, or will darkness rule the land?
James and Colin Boudreaux “Fairytale Gone Wrong"
Synopsis: A classic tale of…wait a minute, it’s not classic at all! This flip-flopped fairytale includes some hysterical pirates, a kidnapped princess, a crazy prince, and loads of laughter!
Damien Valdez “The New Guy”
Synopsis: Everyone knows him, but not everyone loves him, The New Guy follows Larry as chaos follows him in his new job.
Maci Steffen “Maybe: The Tragedy of a Homeschooled Dreamer”
Synopsis: Viola meets Leo, and after the death of her father and a life of being stuck, he’s just what she needs to learn how to wander. Maybe: The Tragedy of a Homeschooled Dreamer is a reminder to keep dreaming even when tragedy strikes.
Adam Michelson “George’s Grand Failure”
Synopsis: George, along with the help of restaurant staff, attempts to propose to his girlfriend. Will it go well, will she even say yes, or will it end up as George’s grand failure?
