Student Nurse Connection Hour

We would like to invite you to a Connection Hour with the Student Nurse Associate and Student Nurse Internship leaders. Where you will have the opportunity to meet current SNAs and get to hear firsthand what it is like to be an SNA here at SRHS.

Work under the direction of the RN in providing care to patients while on summer break.

Eligibility Requirements

• Attend an approved RN school of nursing
• Complete the Nursing Fundamentals Course
• Commit to 36 hours/week (AM or PM)
• Complete online employment application and onboarding requirements

What would I do during my Student Nurse Internship?

• During this paid internship, you would be trained to work in a variety of roles within the healthcare system.
• This role functions exactly like the SNA but is reserved for those who can only take advantage of the opportunity during their school's summer break.
• The orientation and program commitment are designed to correlate with your academic schedule!
• Housing assistance provided and arranged by SRHS (Available only in summer)

Work under the direction of the RN in providing care to patients.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program
• Complete of first semester nursing clinicals/nursing fundamentals
• Commit to a minimum of one 8 hour shift every two weeks during the school semester

What would I do as a SNA?

• You would be trained to work in a variety of roles, including Patient Care Associate, Companion, and Unit Ambassador.
• As an employee in the Resource Pool, you would be used in the role needed most for the shift you are available to work.
• This awesome opportunity gives you exposure to many roles on the healthcare team and to many units within the hospital system.

Tuition Assistance

• Associates enrolled in a Nursing program while employed in a PRN nursing clinical or support role qualify for Student Nurse Tuition Assistance.
• The total amount of the award is based on your college's offering of "free tuition."
