About this Event
Country Bookshelf is proud to present Stuart Turton, author of The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle in conversation with our very own bookseller, Sage.
Sage describes Turton’s newest book, The Last M**der at the End of the World, as: "If you made Lost into a ticking clock thriller and dipped it in the perfect dose of science fiction".
Sage's full review follows: "I loved it.
The world has ended, almost. On a small island the last vestiges of humanity reside peacefully under the guidance of three brilliant but emotionally removed elders. That is until one of the elders dies and slowly the Fog, the misty harbinger of the end of the world, starts creeping towards them. As the clock slowly ticks down, Emory, a voracious and brilliant villager tries to put together the pieces she needs to save humanity, and the people she loves dearly.
The Last M**der at the End of the World was so much more than I imagined it could be. What I love about Stuart Turton is he gives you a page turner you can’t tear yourself away from while still asking you the big questions of: what does to mean to be human, what we do we owe to each other, and are we capable of redemption?"
Join us on Sunday, May 19th at 2 p.m. MST at Country Bookshelf for a sweeping conversation as they discuss Turton's work, questions of redemption, and have a generally nerdy time.
The event will feature an audience Q&A. You will have the opportunity to submit a question when registering for the event and may see it answered during the conversation. Please submit your questions no later than May 17.
Each ticket includes a hardcover copy of The Last M**der at the End of the World.
