We’re thrilled to welcome AQUALINE back to The Apothecary Tap as part of Independent Venue Week 2026!
Guildford-based alternative rock five-piece Aqualine have just completed their first UK tour in support of their acclaimed EP, Tripwire. Blending post-punk aggression, grunge intensity, and ethereal shoegaze textures with bold experimental touches, their sound delves into themes of mental stability, disassociation, and self-identity in young adulthood.
After their unforgettable show here in October, where they captivated the crowd with their atmospheric sound and magnetic stage presence, we can’t wait to have them back. Expect soaring guitar riffs, hypnotic rhythms, and raw, emotional vocals that will stay with you long after the final note.

Postmodern power-duo BIG TROUSERS bring a unique brand of volume, energy and eccentricity to UK and international stages. The band draw from progressive rock and post-punk to construct their spoken-word, experimental sound. Sharing stages like the Windmill Brixton with bands such as Man/Woman/Chainsaw and Heavy Lungs since their formation in 2023, the two-piece continue to push their sound with unapologetic oddity, navigating meme culture, social satire and existential dread.
With their sophomore EP, “WHAT WE TALK ABOUT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE INTERNET”, the duo offer a surreal window into online relationships. It features the band’s signature absurdist lyrics and acrobatic guitar playing, and scrambles its way through a stacked lineup of zany narrators and even zanier riffs. From a meditation on failed stardom to a protagonist in love with Microsoft PowerPoint to a doomscrolling monologue set to a midwest emo instrumental, these 5 tracks will have you wondering just how funny the internet actually is.
LAKE ACACIA are a high-energy alt-rock duo from Oxfordshire, known for their heavy bass-driven sound, powerful drums, and tight vocal harmonies. Blending rock, metal, and electronic elements, they deliver an unexpectedly big and dynamic live performance for a two-piece band.
