Don't miss the Artist Meet & Greet on Friday, November 13!
Event Details
What: Structural Illuminations—Artist Meet & Greet and Talk with Christina Shmigel, Gary Passanise, and Richard Sprengeler
When: Friday, November 13, 2026, 5 to 8 PM
Where: Link Auditorium, 4504 Westminster Pl, St. Louis MO 63108
Admission: Free
Richard Sprengeler, one of three artists in Structural Illuminations, will discuss Bob Cassilly’s Cementland and share his experiences photographing the aftermath of the 2025 St. Louis tornado.
Sprengeler’s photographs document the layered industrial history of the St. Louis region, from the buildings, infrastructure, and remnants of manufacturing, railroads, brewing, meatpacking, and brickmaking to the changes brought by deindustrialization and renewal. His talk on Cementland and the 2025 St. Louis tornado extends that inquiry into one of the region’s best-known transformations of an industrial landscape.
Gallery is on 2nd floor with no ADA access (we are in the process of funding our elevator and aiming for accessibility in 2027)
