Welcome to Coventry’s Strongman Summer Showdown 2026We are hosting our first strongman competition for beginners and novices, we’re hoping for a fun Summer’s day of competing outside weather permitting, please bear with us if things need to be adapted.
Classes A, B, C and D, there is no requirement for any class, but choose the class that will provide a challenge for you (no trophy hunters!).
Each class is capped at 10 people,
Cat A & B - Female
Cat C & D - Male
you may participate as a guest lifter in ANY class if you wish, but we ask you respect the protected classes for trophies/podiums
if spaces in the class are not available please get in touch and we will add you to a wait list.

Overhead medley
Kettlebell (A&B) /Monster Dumbbell(C&D) – Axel – Log
A - 15/30/30
B – 25/45/45
C – 35/60/60
D – 45/75/75
Trump Deadlift for reps
60s time limit, no suits or briefs but all straps allowed
A – 80/105
B – 120/140
C – 155/175
D – 185/210
Sandbag Steeple chase
Carry 10m and load over 44” (A&B) or 48” (C&D), carry a further 10m and drop across the line.
A – 40 & 50
B – 60 & 70
C – 80 & 100
D – 100 & 120
Farmers carry
10m there and back as fast as possible, liquid and powder chalk allowed, no straps.
A – 50ph
B – 65 ph
C – 95ph
D – 115ph
Trump Stone loading for reps
60s time limit, tacky allowed, A&B over 44” and C&D over 48”
A – 40/60
B – 50/70
C – 80/90
D – 110/130
