We’ll enjoy some fresh air, beautiful scenery, conversation, and community as we make our way to one of Cecil County’s most recognizable landmarks.
The lighthouse is reached by an approximately half-mile walk. The historic Turkey Point Lighthouse will be open to the public, giving attendees the opportunity to climb to the top and take in beautiful views overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
What to expect:

• Time to socialize and connect with community
• An opportunity to visit and climb the historic Turkey Point Lighthouse
• Beautiful views overlooking the Chesapeake Bay
Accessibility Information
We want everyone to have the opportunity to participate. If you have accessibility or mobility needs that may prevent you from walking to the lighthouse, please let us know in advance.
We will be working with park rangers to coordinate access for 1–2 vehicles to drive closer to the lighthouse when possible. Advance notice is important so we can coordinate these arrangements appropriately.
Start the Day With Us! 🧶☕️
Before heading to the lighthouse, we’ll be gathering at Morning Glory Café at 11:00 AM for our separate Sip & Stitch event.
Bring a crochet or knitting project, another craft or activity, or simply come to sip and socialize before we head toward Turkey Point. You do not have to attend Sip & Stitch to join us at the lighthouse.
A separate FREE Eventbrite ticket is available for Sip & Stitch.
Rain Date 🌧️
If weather prevents us from holding the stroll on September 26, our rain date will be Saturday, October 24, with the same time and location.
