About this Event
🧠Stroke Awareness Month – Let’s Talk About It
Stroke is something we can’t ignore in our community.
Black people are at a higher risk of stroke, and one of the biggest reasons is high blood pressure – often called the silent killer because many of us don’t even know we have it.
But here’s the truth…
👉 Stroke is preventable
👉 Blood pressure can be managed
👉 And awareness can save lives
This May, we’re creating space to have real conversations about life after a stroke, what it means for us, and what we can do to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
Join us for an important and empowering session where we’ll cover:
✔️ What a stroke is and how it happens
✔️ Why our community is more at risk
✔️ The link between high blood pressure and stroke
✔️ How to reduce your risk through lifestyle changes
✔️ Real stories of life after stroke
