Step into an unforgettable evening of music, history, and tradition at “Strings Through Time,” a live concert of Ukrainian 🇺🇦 and World 🌎 music at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center. This immersive program brings the soul of Ukrainian culture to life through the voice of the bandura—an extraordinary 65-string instrument— alongside beautiful choral music across the world.This rare and captivating performance features renowned bandura virtuoso and People’s Artist of Ukraine, Ostap Stakhiw, alongside the accomplished soloist Solomia Stahiv, whose artistry brings new dimension to this centuries-old instrument.
Special guests of the evening’s program - the Juneau Community Chorus, under the direction of Misuri Smyth - will bring powerful choral depth to this unique cross-cultural experience.
Created especially with Juneau audiences in mind, “Strings Through Time” is more than a concert—it’s a shared experience. Whether you’re discovering the Bandura for the first time or returning to familiar roots, this music performance offers a rare opportunity to come together and connect through the universal language of music.
