Good Tree Striking students from Dunmore and Wilkes-Barre are invited to attend our next testing date on Saturday, September 6, 2025!The test will be held in the Dunmore Striking Room at 11:30am.
Good Tree MMA Striking Test Requirements
- All students must have 16oz gloves, mouth guard, and training shin guards for the test.
- All students must have previous rank displayed on their right boxing glove (if any previous rank).
- Students will be tested on offensive and defensive techniques, pad holding, and ability to safely train with others.
- Students who earn their blue stripe will be eligible for intermediate level classes.
- Students who earn their black stripe will be eligible for advanced level
classes and sparring.
Blue Stripe Techniques
1. Punches #1 - #6.
2. Rear Leg Kick
3. Inside Leg Kick
4. Rear Roundhouse Kick
5. Switch Roundhouse Kick
Red Stripe Techniques
1. All Blue Stripe Techniques
2. Helmet Guard
3. Kick Defense – Checking and Evading
4. Lead and Rear Push Kicks (teeps)
5. Rear Straight Knee
6. Switch Straight Knee
Black Stripe Techniques
1. All Blue Stripe and Red Stripe Techniques
2. Entering the Clinch
3. Controlling in the Clinch
4. Exiting the Clinch
5. Sparring Etiquette
