'Strikers!', the story of Burton man Vale Rawlings, will be told at Burton Town Hall on Friday December 6, 2024, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are now on sale via the Burton Town Hall website. They cost £11 for a standard ticket, £7 for concessions (seniors, children and the unwaged) and £15 for a pay-it-forward ticket.
All profits will be split between Burton charities SARAC and the YMCA. If you can afford to buy £15 tickets it will increase the amount this event can raise for our two charities - which we believe would both have been close to Vale's heart.
This one-off performance is in the form of a reading with music.
A cast of 30 people from the local area - a mixture of experienced actors and newcomers to performing - will bring Vale's story to life. Many of the characters they will play are real people who lived, worked, laughed and cried in Burton more than 100 years ago.
