Strengthening Professionalism in the Recovery-Oriented Field

This session is the first part of a two-part professional development series focused on helping peers take the next step into the recovery workforce. Building on foundational concepts from Part 1, this training shifts into practical, hands-on skills needed to successfully enter and navigate the job market.

Participants will explore key areas such as effective communication in professional settings, creating or strengthening a resume, strategies for searching and applying to jobs, and preparing for interviews. The session is designed to build confidence, highlight strengths from lived experience, and support participants in presenting themselves as strong, capable candidates in the workforce.

By the end of the training, participants will feel more prepared, empowered, and equipped with the tools needed to pursue employment opportunities in recovery support and beyond.
