Streets of London Sleep-Out 2024

The number of people sleeping rough in London is currently at a record high (and has quadrupled since 2005), so help for people affected by homelessness is needed more than ever right now. The money you raise by taking part in the sleep-out will help to fund projects across the capital that give people the support they need to get off the streets for good.

By sleeping out, you’ll get a small taste of some of the challenges that people sleeping rough have to face every night. It’s nothing like the reality of being homeless of course, but giving up the comfort of your bed for one night and taking part in the sleep-out is a simple act of solidarity and a great tangible way you can get involved if you'd like to help.

The event will take place outdoors in the grounds of a private venue in central London, close to Waterloo Station. We’ll be in touch with participants in the run-up to the event to provide the exact details. There will be event security to keep everyone safe, and access to toilets. All you'll need is a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat (or cardboard). If you'd like to, bring a group of friends along too so you can take part as a team and help raise even more!

There is a £12.50 registration fee (non-refundable) to help defray essential event costs.

We're holding the sleep-out to raise as much money as possible for the homelessness projects we support, so we ask each adult taking part to aim at raising at least £250 for Streets of London, so that as many homeless people as possible receive support.

Please note, each adult wishing to take part in the night walk will need to register for the event individually (so max 1 adult per order), but adults can also register any children who will be accompanying them.

You will need to be at least 11 years old by the date of the sleep-out to take part in this event. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult who is at least 21 years old, with a maximum of 3 under-18s per accompanying adult present.

The number of places available for this event is limited and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Registration will close at midnight on Monday 14th October 2024 (if there are any places remaining by then).
