Streetfest - Kruizin' for Kevin Car & Bike Show Announcement
This is a free event to the public! Have a car or bike you'd like to show off? Registration starts at 10:00. Cost is $10.00. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, 2nd Place, Best Truck, Best Bike and Fan Favorite. The first 50 cars to register will receive a dash plaque. Chicken BBQ, Car & Bike Show, 50/50, music and more!
Some things just feel like they’re meant to come full circle.
As many of you know, Kevin grew up in Rittman, and some of his favorite childhood and teenage memories were made alongside the Tomlinson family. Whether it was playing football, riding bikes through town, heading to Jimmy Buffett concerts, or simply spending time together, they shared a friendship that became part of who he was. But even more than the adventures, Kevin admired the closeness of their family. He often talked about the love they had for one another and the example they set.
That connection has come full circle in a truly meaningful way. Kevin’s close childhood friend, John Tomlinson, is Maria Fortner’s uncle, and Godfather; Debbie (Tomlinson) Fortner, and Dr. Dale Fortner are Maria’s parents. This is the same family that meant so much to Kevin throughout his childhood.
As we continue to grow Kruizin’ for Kevin StreetFest, we want it to be more than just a day of cars, music, and fun. We want it to honor the values Kevin lived by—friendship, family, community, and helping others.
With that in mind, we are honored to announce that moving forward, a portion of the proceeds from Kruizin’ for Kevin StreetFest will be donated to the Maria Fortner Foundation.
The Maria Fortner Foundation was created in 2025 to honor Maria’s life by continuing the compassion, generosity, and love for others that she shared so freely. The Foundation provides scholarships to students pursuing higher education, supports individuals and families affected by cancer, partners with organizations serving cancer patients, and contributes to life-saving cancer treatment facilities. Through every initiative, the Foundation carries forward its mission to Live Like Maria by making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
We can’t think of a more fitting way to honor Kevin’s legacy than by supporting a foundation rooted in the same values he admired so deeply. Thank you for helping us continue to build a day that celebrates friendship, strengthens our community, and gives hope to others.
