Street Theory Sounds : A J Dilla Tribute by DJ 7L

Street Theory Sounds is a collaborative sonic series presented by Street Theory Gallery Collective in partnership with Central On Air. Designed as an immersive listening experience, the series invites community into sound as a form of storytelling—where music, memory, and culture intersect inside our living room gallery space.

This iteration of Street Theory Sounds is dedicated to the life and legacy of J Dilla, honoring his birth month through a curated sonic journey rooted in rhythm, innovation, and feeling. Dilla’s influence extends far beyond beats—his work reshaped how we hear time, texture, and soul in music.

Sounds for the evening will be provided by DJ 7L, with a special J Dilla set from 8–10 PM. Expect an intentional listening experience that invites reflection, connection, and deep appreciation for an artist whose impact continues to echo across generations.
