Street Festive Market

Street Parish Council are delighted to announce they will host their festive market in the village on Saturday 7th December, 11am - 4pm.

The stalls will showcase products from local businesses ranging from handmade crafts, jewellery, and ethically sourced cosmetics, not to mention a range of refreshments and treats to suit all tastes. Local community groups will also be attending to meet and greet the public and offer sign posting to the incredible services they offer.

Local entertainment including music and festivities will add some jollity to the occasion, not to mention the ice rink at Clarks Village nearby, which proved incredibly popular in its debut year last year, and will no doubt prove to be an exciting activity for locals and visitors once again.

The market will run from 11am-4pm with entertainment throughout the day in the High Street and Street Parish Council members will be on hand to interact with the community and answer questions or offer advice at their very own stall. Everyone is encouraged to come along and share their opinions about how we can work to achieve local aims and build a vision of priorities for Street and the wider community to continue to thrive. We would love to hear from all members of the community as it helps us to identify the most pressing concerns in need of being addressed, as well as helping to build a network of contacts who can work together to celebrate all the positive things which contribute to making Street the very best it can be.

Vice Chair of Council, Nina Swift, states: “Street Parish Council’s festive market has been a regular event for many years now. We look forward to it as it brings a feeling of fun to our High Street with the range of stalls and activities. It also helps to bring additional business to our shops and encourages visitors to Clarks Village to see what Street can offer.”

Street Festive Market follows on from Small Business Saturday the weekend before, so this is a perfect opportunity to support local businesses and boost the local economy!

If you’re interested in reserving a stall, please email Danielle, Assistant Clerk – Community Engagement, via to request a booking form. It will be first-come-first-served, and we are delighted to have had lots of interest already as a result of previous years’ successes.

Street Parish Council are pleased to say the scheme for the festive lights along the High Street and Farm Road will be updated this year.

The annual Christmas Window Competition will be launched in late November with a grand prize to be announced in the new year to a lucky winner who participates providing all the correct answers.
