Join us upstairs at Rapp’s for Fly Battle, a high-energy, head-to-head fly-tying showdown where elite amateur tyers go face-to-face in a fast-paced, bracket-style battle. The tyers have already been selected — now it’s time for the crowd.
Here’s how it works:
-Two tyers compete at a time
-Identical tools, identical time limits
-One winner advances, one is eliminated
Rounds continue until a single champion remains
Judging is based on technique, creativity, execution — and crowd reaction, so spectators play a role in the outcome. Even if you’ve never tied a fly, this is easy to follow, fun to watch, and packed with tension.
Think Iron Chef, but for fly fishing.
