Strathcona Science Park Archaeological Walking Tour
About this Event
We'll tour the Strathcona Science Park to learn about the history of archaeological research in Edmonton, and how the archaeology site there and more recent projects have expanded our understanding of the region's history.
We'll meet on the west side of the parking lot (https://maps.app.goo.gl/KNAKcMYCWFfrRSoe7) at 9:30 and be back there by 1:00.
It will be about 45 minutes (2.5 km) of leisurely walking with several stops to talk.
There will be photographs taken throughout the tour, if you do not wish for photographs taken of yourself during the tour or used in advertisng or social media posts please see the event organizers.
There will be risks associated with the walking tour, there will be a safety session before the beginning of the tour to review the risks. By registering for this event I understand and agree that there are hazards and risks inherent in my participation in Archaeological Society of Alberta (ASA) activities, such as but not limited to fieldtrips/workshops/field projects, any of which could cause me bodily injury or permanent disability or loss of life and/or loss or damage to my property, including those risks and hazards associated with travel such as motor vehicle collision, mechanical failure, and human error.
