The University of Florida/IFAS Extension is offering an educational seminar series titled "Managing Cattle Enterprises for Success," specifically designed for small cattle ranchers. The goal of the series is to provide participants with practical knowledge of cattle management practices that can be easily applied to their operations.
Series Structure: The series consists of three seminars, each covering a different essential topic for successful cattle enterprise management. Each season, the three topics will be offered in different counties:
Fall 2024 Schedule:
- Hillsborough County (September 5): Topic 1 - Planning Your Cattle Management Calendar
Spring 2025 Schedule:
- Pasco County (March 20): Topic 2 - Breeding Season Management
- Hillsborough County (April 24): Topic 2 - Strategizing Cow Nutrition
Fall 2025 Schedule: The topics will rotate among the counties:
- Pasco County: Topic 1 - Planning Your Cattle Management Calendar
- Pasco County: Topic 2 - Strategizing Cow Nutrition
- Hillsborough County: Topic 3 - Breeding Season Management
This rotational approach ensures that participants across Pasco and Hillsborough counties have the opportunity to attend different cattle management seminars each year, providing comprehensive coverage of key topics essential for managing successful cattle enterprises.
