REHDA Developers and Property Managers impacted by incoming changes in the Strata Management Act 2013 (Act 757), need to attend on changes that will impact their business including:

Need for clearer rules on charges, sinking fund. Complex and creative mixed-use developments have exposed gaps in SMA 2013, especially around governance, cost allocation, management roles (JMBs/MCs), and the COB enforcement powers, leading to inconsistent court decisions and rising disputes.
Clearer definition required on โchargesโ (maintenance), โsinking fundโ calculation, allocation (via share units/weightage), particularly in mixed-use schemes, limited/common property.
2.๐๐๐ฑ/๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ
The growing use of outsourced services (security, cleaning, maintenance, etc) in strata schemes means SST/tax on service providers materially affects overall building costs; clearer regulatory and tax treatment is needed so management bodies can budget and charge owners transparently.
3.๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฏ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฌ.
