Strange Little Obsessions is a different kind of horror event.
Created for people who love horror, independent film, alternative culture and the wonderfully strange, SLO brings together guests, filmmakers, performers, artists, makers and fans for a full weekend in the heart of Nottingham.
This isn’t an event designed for you to walk around once and go home.
There’s something happening throughout both days.

Meet actors, filmmakers, performers and horror talent across the weekend, with opportunities for autographs, selfies and professional photo experiences.
🎤 PANELS & LIVE TALKS
Our dedicated panel programme brings you conversations with the people behind the films, characters and stories we love, alongside discussions exploring horror, filmmaking, performance, the paranormal and independent creativity.
Panels are included with your event ticket.
🎬 SHARED SIGHT FILM FESTIVAL
Independent horror takes centre stage with our Shared Sight Film Festival.
Your Strange Little Obsessions ticket includes access to a packed programme of independent short films and features, including UK premieres, giving you the chance to discover filmmakers and stories you may not see anywhere else.
🎲 MORE THAN JUST SHOPPING
Throughout the weekend you’ll also find a range of experiences and activities including:

Some activities are completely free with your event ticket, while selected experiences are available to purchase separately.

Explore a carefully selected collection of independent traders, artists, authors, makers and alternative businesses.
Expect horror, gothic and alternative artwork, clothing, accessories, books, collectibles, handmade pieces and plenty of things you didn’t know you needed until they were sitting directly in front of you.

We want Strange Little Obsessions to be an event more people can enjoy.
Our plans include a dedicated sensory and wellbeing space, accessibility information to help visitors plan ahead, and Essential Companion options.
You do not need to hold an Access Card to contact us about your access requirements.

🖤 A DIFFERENT KIND OF ATMOSPHERE
One of the things that matters most to us is creating an event that feels welcoming and community-led.
We don’t want huge barriers between guests, creators and attendees.
We want conversations, discoveries, new connections and the feeling that everyone in the building is part of the same strange little world for the weekend.
And that continues after Saturday’s daytime event finishes…
🎸 SATURDAY NIGHT AFTERPARTY
On Saturday evening, SLO continues with our Afterparty, bringing guests, creators, vendors and attendees together in the same space.
Expect:
• Live music from Devil’s Hand
• John Callaghan
• Buffet
• Bar
• Late-night DJ
• And the chance to actually relax and mingle with people from across the event
Afterparty access is included with VIP Weekend tickets. Additional Afterparty ticket options may also be available.
