The British Horse Society Buckinghamshire are delighted to once again hold this popular ride, which winds along the tracks of the deer park and gardens of Stowe. By kind permission of the National Trust you can enjoy the delights of this off road event. The route is 5 miles long (unfortunately, there is no jumping this year as we have lost access to the farmland which hosted the XC fences).Start times are between 9.30am and 1pm - just book onto the half hour timeslot you want to start in, turn up, collect your number and go to the starter, who will set you off at an appropriate interval from the horse(s) before. For the first time, there will be a special walk-and-trot-only 'nervous and novice' section for those wanting a quieter atmosphere - perhaps a young rider or horse attending their first fun ride, or a nervous rider wanting a chill ride. This section will start between 1pm and 1.30pm.
There are plenty of stewards on course to open gates, along with a professional photographer. There will be first aid cover on site and a vet on call. In addition there will be toilet and catering facilities.
Rosettes for all participants. Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
