August Storyteller: Eleni Wehner
Meet Eleni, the author of the Roscoe & Ivy board book series! When typical caregiving strategies didn’t work for Eleni’s neurodivergent kids, she had to get creative. The first 4 books in the series, My Dinosaur Shoes, The Clean-Up Monster, Always Pasta, and The Waiting Room aren’t just for neurodivergent kids. After all, many kids don’t love waiting or cleaning up and would eat pasta 24/7 if they could!
A very special guest will be joining Eleni - the original mini-Clean-Up Monster, BERNICE! Following storytime, the kids will be able to see (and play!) The Clean-Up Monster game with Bernice! There will be some toys scattered on the floor and Eleni will ask for some volunteers to help clean up. When the floor is clear, a fun game of “tag” meets “the floor is lava” can begin!
