Storytime & Toy Swap @ Kendal Library

Save money on your kids' Christmas gifts at the Kendal Library Toy Swap!
Bring what you can, take what you need! The perfect way to declutter and pick up pre-loved presents for free.
What to expect:
📕 10:00 - Storytime! Local mum and author of Elf Chloe's Surprise, Charlotte Mason-Curl, will be reading her book. The story touches on waste, repair and pre-loved presents.
♻️ 10:30 - the Toy Swap will open in the Pennington room (opposite the children's area) – drop in any time until 12:30.

Can't make this event? We're also running a toy swap at Ragtag Arts and Scrapstore on Thursday 12th November at 7pm.

How it works:
✅ Drop off before the swap opens! You can drop off items at Kendal library from 12:00 to on Friday 13th November, and from 9:30am on Saturday 14th.
✅ Bring toys, games, books, puzzles, soft toys – all must be clean, CE marked, in good working order. No electrical items. If you would be happy to give it to a friend, it's good enough to swap.
✅ Bring what you can, take what you need.

Part of The Big Toy Swap, thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund!
We’re proud to be hosting this event as part of The Big Toy Swap, a National Lottery-funded campaign run by No Crap Parties – a campaign founded in Kendal. There are 50+ toy swaps happening across the country – aiming to rehome as many toys as possible for Christmas. Saving families money, reducing waste, and encouraging people to be proud of pre-loved presents.
Huge thank you to Kendal Library for hosting us for this event.
