About the author Kelly Rice Schmitt is an energy broker and award-winning children's book author who loves getting small humans excited about big ideas . . . like trucking! She has sold truckloads of energy products, played with fleets of toy trucks, and even helped fill a real tractor-trailer with donated toys, but she has never driven a big rig herself. Kelly lives in North Carolina with her husband, children, and many stacks of books.
