Join us at Fred & June Books on Saturday February 8th at 10:15 as we welcome children's author Michelle Nott for story time! Michelle will be reading and discussing her insightful and delightful book "Teddy, Let’s Go!" Michelle will be in store with us until 11:15 to sign copies of her book and chat with our story time guests!
With distilled text, expressive art, and a strong emotional core, this book gives us a window into the early years of a child who grapples with change alongside her beloved Teddy, ultimately embracing her new sibling with a tremendous act of love.
A beloved teddy bear, stuffed with love, tells a deeply felt and tenderly observed story of growing up and the new sibling experience.
Teddy and My are made for each other—literally in the case of Teddy, a bear lovingly stitched and stuffed by Grandma for her newborn granddaughter. From eating mushy vegetables to playing with blocks, Teddy is there every step of the way as the baby grows older. Even as the little girl goes to school and makes, new friends, she can always count on Teddy for playtime, comfort, and friendship.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Michelle Nott is a bilingual, dual-nationality author who finds inspiration in her family, her travels, and particularly in American and French literature, culture, and art. She sees crafting picture books as an ideal way to combine her love and respect for children, language, and fine art. Born in the United States, Michelle has also lived in France and in Belgium. She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, two daughters, and their rescue dog. Teddy Let’s Go! is her debut picture book.
