Stories, we all have them. We all tell them. Now we want to hear yours.
Story Slam is a themed storytelling night open to everyone – no scripts, no phones, just true stories told from the heart.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Want to take the mic? Here’s what we ask:
1️⃣ It should be your story. (Not your uncle’s, not your neighbor’s – yours.)
2️⃣ Keep it under 5 minutes so we can hear from as many voices as possible.
3️⃣ It must be true – funny, sad, moving, outrageous… but real.
Picture yourself sitting with a circle of friends. That’s the vibe. Just you, your story, and an audience who’s ready to listen.
Sign-ups happen on the spot, and names are drawn randomly to determine the order. We’ll have room for at least ten storytellers.

November Theme: AND THAT’S WHEN IT STARTED
Every big story has that one moment — the spark, the twist, the turning point that set everything in motion. Maybe it was when you met someone, made a choice, or took a leap. Maybe it’s a story you still can’t believe began that way.
Whatever your “that’s when it started” moment is, bring it to the mic. We want to hear how it all began.

THE COMPETITIVE TWIST
Yes, there’s a fun edge to the night. Here’s how it works:
• Three random judges score each story (delivery, story arc, and theme connection).
• Perfect score = 30.
• Go over 5:10 → lose 5 points.
• Go over 5:30 → lose 10 points.
• At 6:00 → you’re out of the competition (bell rings at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00).
Every three months, the top performers return for a curated show to share a brand-new story.
