Story Shapes Workshop

In the Story Shapes workshop, author, editor, and writing instructor Rebecca Cuthbert will guide participants through five "story shapes," graphics designed to help writers create plots and outline different types and lengths of fiction stories. There's more to narrative than Freytag's Pyramid! Cuthbert will walk you through variations she has encountered in her professional career to help you structure your next great story.

There will also be writing prompts, a freewrite activity, and an opportunity to share writing and ideas.

Cuthbert's books will be on hand as well for sales and signing, including the Golden Scoop Award-nominated CREEP THIS WAY: HOW TO BECOME A HORROR WRITER WITH 24 TIPS TO GET YOU GHOULING, which is an "everything else" guide to joining the world of writing, applicable to more than just the horror genre. After the workshop, Cuthbert will hold an informal Q&A chat session for anyone interested.
