About this Event
This is not just a dinner. It's an immersive experience you'll still be thinking about years later.

On October 24th, 150 guests will gather inside the Weisman Art Museum, Frank Gehry's iconic landmark on the bluffs above the Mississippi River with the trees in their full autumn colors, for a five-course, family-style harvest feast that brings together extraordinary food, Minnesota-made craft beverages, handmade ceramics, and the kind of unhurried conversation that only happens when strangers share a long table in a room that takes your breath away.
The meal is prepared by chefs Mateo and Erin Mackbee. Mateo is a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Midwest and the chef behind Krewe in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Erin is the baker behind Flour & Flower, named one of the best bakeries in America by The New York Times. Together, they are two of the most talented and community-rooted chefs in the state, and they're returning to Story Feast for the second year after receiving a rousing standing ovation at our inaugural gathering.
Story Feast Collective produces immersive dinners in extraordinary spaces around the world: monasteries, castles, art museums, and hidden venues with stories to tell. Our 2026β2027 season spans Minneapolis, Scotland, Ireland, Estonia, England, Sweden, Morocco, and Prague. Each dinner is built from the ground up with a celebrated local chef, hyper-local ingredients, and a deep respect for the place that hosts us.
Our inaugural dinner at St. John's Abbey last fall sold out and drew 180 guests. Minnesota Monthly called it "a meditation on community, craft, and care." This is the only Story Feast dinner in the United States this year.
Story Feast is founded by Jody Eddy, a James Beard-nominated, IACP Award-winning cookbook author of nine books and a University of Minnesota alumna who watched the Weisman being built as a student. This evening is a homecoming in every sense.
