Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Angela Cervantes, the Kansas City author behind American Girl's 2026 Girl of the Year, Raquel Reyes, in a conversation about family, heritage and the power of storytelling.
The event doors open at 10 a.m., with the conversation with Angela Cervantes beginning at 10:30 a.m. and running approximately 25-30 minutes.
Book signings and photos with the author will follow. There will not be copies of the book for sale at the event, so please bring your personal copies for signatures.

On weekends, most open-air yellow, green and red surface lots on the University of Kansas campus are free and open to the public without a permit However, restricted areas like designated reserved spaces, accessible stalls and campus parking garages still enforce normal hourly fees or specific restrictions.
