Stories of Purpose, Creativity, and Impact
Celebrating one year of The Thrive Collective
Thursday, 24 September, 10:00am - 12:00pm, WRAP in Brighton
What is this event about?
Join us for a morning of connection, inspiration, and celebration as we mark one year of The Thrive Collective.
Over three issues, themed Purpose, Creativity, and Impact, the magazine has shared the stories of women building businesses on their own terms. This event brings those stories to life, with time to network, hear from two brilliant speakers, and celebrate what a year of showing up has made possible. Both contribute to Issue 3, themed Impact, so you will hear their stories in person and take them home on the page.
The morning is hosted by , a growing community of solo women business owners, brought together through a quarterly magazine, workshops, and networking events. We help women get clear on who they are, how they build a sustainable business, and how they want to be seen, and turn that clarity into visibility.
We believe in a world where women who choose to build a business on their own terms are recognised and remembered for their work, not overlooked. This event exists to shift who gets seen, and to expand what success in business looks like.
What are we celebrating?
We are celebrating one year of The Thrive Collective: three issues, dozens of contributors, and a community that keeps on growing. Most of all, we are celebrating the women whose work so often goes unseen, and the difference they make when they step into visibility with conviction.
Why attend?
By coming along, you will:
- Connect with a community of women founders, creatives, and changemakers, over breakfast and unhurried networking.
- Hear two inspiring talks from speakers whose work is making real change, with time to be moved, to think, and to take something away for your own business.
- Celebrate the milestone with the people who make it matter, and leave with fresh energy, new connections, and a free copy of Issue 3 to take home.
Who will be speaking at the event?
Our two fantastic speakers are Antoinette Daniel and Emily Jacob, both guest contributors to Issue 3 of The Thrive Collective.
Antoinette Daniel is a former PE teacher, now an entrepreneur, who is passionate about seeing justice done in all areas of her life. She is the founder of the multi-award-winning London cleaning agency , whose team are aiming to make the world a better place, one clean at a time. Strong justice ethics are at the heart of all they do.
Currently, she is in the process of radically transforming the cleaning industry, to enable cleaning colleagues to be paid equitably, working rights and conditions to be more rigorously monitored, laws changed to enable ethical agencies to operate more ably, and clients' homes and offices cleaned to a consistently high standard.
In her spare time, she loves walking by the sea, or sitting in her favourite chair watching the world go by.
Emily Jacob is the Founder of , a trauma-informed recovery organisation whose self-guided programmes are licensed by more than 20 charities, NHS SARCs, and universities across the UK, reaching over 10,000 survivors. A keynote speaker, ICF-certified coach, and Master NLP Practitioner, Emily combines a corporate marketing background spanning telecoms, utilities, consultancy, and banking, with lived experience of recovery. Late-diagnosed AuDHD, queer, and living with MS in a West Sussex seaside town, she can usually be found in her garden study with puppy Sheba and kitten Bartlet snoozing nearby.
