It has been said that in the cold of winter it is the time for storytelling. Join us on February 3 and be uplifted as we hear the stories of local land stewards who were sparked by inspiration to renaturalize the land in the face of climate change. To Register:

We'll hear from Brittany Zigmond who, with partner Alan Rice, is re-naturalizing 4 acres in Sheffield by re-wilding a ploughed wetland, establishing a forested area and a meadow of native species. Brittany will tell the story of their journey that started with the goal to "avoid wasting time cutting grass" in suburbia that <spoiler alert=""> ended with relocating to restore 4 acres of wetland in the Grand River watershed with native species.
Jackie Ryan from Planting Seeds of Hope is also joining us. PSOH is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering innovative, nature-based programs for children, families, schools, and community groups. They have 46 acres of organic farmland, meadows, forests, trails, and wetlands, providing programs that guide participants on a journey of self-discovery and ecological awareness. By fostering meaningful connections with the natural world, they help children and young people understand the interconnectedness of all life and the vital role each individual plays in caring for each other and the earth.</spoiler>
