Stories of Home book launch

Join us for the Stories of Home launch event for Babtida's Escape & The Forest Ruler, two new comic books created through a collaboration between BA(Hons) Illustration students at Norwich University of the Arts, writer Tuaila Milanca, the UEA School for Global Development, and The Bridge Plus+ charity.
At the book launch you will get a first look at writer Tuaila Milanca's comic books about sibling couple Alanten and Alanan. These stories were inspired by the cultural traditions, beliefs, and everyday life within the Balanta community of southern Guinea-Bissau and have been adapted into comic books by illustrators Lois Farnsworth and Jesamine Scales from Norwich University of the Arts.
This free event celebrates visual storytelling's power to foster understanding, collaborations across cultural and disciplinary divides, and aim create further connections across communities local to Norwich.
