From the debate around deer management and rewilding, to the epic story of the return of the white-tailed eagle to Britain, Ted Simpson’s work explores our relationship with nature in the British isles.Ted Simpson is a documentary filmmaker fascinated by stories from the wild edges, where people and nature collide. He is the co-founder and director of UK based production company Scout Studio.
In this event, he will talk about what has drawn him to these topics, and the lessons he has learnt through making these films: about ourselves, nature, and the future of our wild places.
The event will feature a screening of Ted’s latest short film, The Pine Hunters, a documentary following two ecologists in search of the last of our ancient wild pine forests.
The film screening will be followed by insights into the film’s production and a Q&A session.
