Join us at Librairie Drawn & Quarterly on Wednesday October 1st at 7 pm for a conversation on stories & art in the age of artifice. This event will celebrate the publication of The Grammar of Fantasy by Gianna Rodari, the father of modern Italian children’s literature, radiantly illustrated by Matthew Forsythe, as well as Matthew Forsythe's new picture book, Aggie and the Ghost. This event is free to attend and no registration is required. Matthew Forsythe, author/illustrator of Pokko and the Drum, MINA, and the newly released Aggie and the Ghost, will appear in conversation with Claudia Bedrick of Enchanted Lion Press, Sruti Islam of the Weird Era podcast and magazine, and J.F. Martel of the Weird Studies podcast and author of Reclaiming Art in the Age of Artifice.
Copies of The Grammar of Fantasy will be available for purchase, as well as Aggie and the Ghost and the French edition, Aggie et le fantôme, published by Comme des géants. The author will be available to sign books after the presentation.
