Storage Wars Auction to benefit Hardin County Fair rebuilding

Information about the STORAGE WARS CHARITY AUCTION July 28, 2026
The Alger First Methodist Church in support of the Hardin County Fairgrounds rebuilding effort is hosting a Storage Wars Charity Auction.
Who: Anyone can participate as a buyer or a seller! You don’t need to be a member of Alger Methodist to participate!
Sellers:
1. Fill a box with your treasures.
a. Each box must have at least 5 items.
b. and be worth at least $25. (That could be one item worth $25 and 4 odds and ends, five items worth $5 each, or an assortment of your choosing.)
2. Wrap your box (you can use brown paper or gift wrapping, just make it a complete surprise.)
3. Create a vague description of your box’s contents and label the outside with this description.
a. For example: a box containing kitchen appliances, kitchenware and kitchen antiques might be: A kitchen relic, a set of tools, hosting essentials, and a countertop baking implement or as A.I. says: A repository of things once displayed, things used to feed, and things kept simply for the sake of remembering.
4. Register your box with the committee by July 21, 2026.
5. Bring your box to the “Storage Wars Charity Auction” on July 14, 2026, by 6:30 p.m.at the Neighbor to Neighbor Community Outreach Center 305 N. Main Street, Alger, Ohio.
6. Stay and enjoy the fun, become a buyer! Sale starts at 7:00 p.m.
Buyers:
1. Come to bid and buy on July 28, 2026! We will be auctioning off curated boxes of treasures this evening to benefit the Hardin County Fairgrounds rebuilding project.
2. Get a buyer’s card upon entry.
3. Check out the boxes.
4. Bid early, often, and high to secure your choice.
5. “Pay the lady.”
6. Open your treasure box and display your treasure.
7. Feel free to barter and trade your content with others but please, remove all purchases when you leave. No treasures left behind.
All money raised will benefit the Hardin County Fairgrounds’ rebuilding effort.
Refreshments available on site by the Methodist Church.
