The Stop the Bleed course is designed for individuals who have little to no medical training but may need to help someone in a trauma situation before emergency medical services arrive.It takes about 7 to 10 minutes for first responders to arrive to a call, but it only takes about 2 to 5 minutes for a trauma victim to bleed out.
Redington-Fairview General Hospital is a member of the Stop the Bleed Coalition. The Stop the Bleed Coalition is licensed by the US Department of Defense to support the Stop the Bleed movement across the United States.
