Love animation, LEGO, or making things come to life? Join our Stop-Motion Animation Club, a fun and creative 5-week programme where young people can explore the world of stop-motion animation and tell their own stories on screen.

Across the sessions, participants will experiment with different stop-motion techniques, including:

● LEGO animation

● Clay animation

● Paper and cut-out animation

They’ll also learn key filmmaking and animation skills, such as:

● Camera angles and shot types

● Creating simple special effects

● Recording sound effects and voice-overs

● Adding music to bring animations to life

The sessions are hands-on, supportive, and suitable for beginners and those with some experience. All equipment is provided — just bring your ideas and imagination.

This free club is delivered by Digital Arts Box and Mako Create, in partnership with YMCA St Helens, and is designed to help young people build creative confidence, digital skills, and teamwork in a relaxed, youth-friendly space.
