Stop guessing and start knowing: Data driven marketing

How confident are you that your marketing is actually working? With data coming from websites, social media, email, search and now AI, it can be difficult to know what to pay attention to and where to invest your time and money. 

Successful marketing decisions need evidence, not assumptions. But you don't need to be a data expert to start asking better questions about where your customers come from, how they find you and what makes them choose your business. 

Grant Jennings, Founder and MD of Brighton-based digital marketing agency Creative Blend, is running an interactive session to help you understand the data you already have and how to use it to make better marketing decisions. 

Using your own Google Analytics 4 (GA4) account alongside real-world examples and practical activities, you'll look at: 

• Where your customers and website visitors actually come from, and which marketing channels are performing 

• What people do when they reach your website and what that can tell you 

• How to use customer data and insights to understand who buys and why 

• The free tools that can help you answer different questions about your marketing 

• How search behaviour is changing, including an introduction to Generative Engine Optimisation and what AI search could mean for your business 

• How to turn what you learn into achievable next steps 

You'll also put your thinking into practice, working with others to look at real-world marketing data, challenge assumptions and decide what a business should do next. 

Come away with a clearer picture of what your data can tell you, which questions to ask and your own focused action plan to help you make marketing decisions with more confidence. 

Who is this session for? This is a beginner-friendly session for anyone who wants to make better use of their marketing data. You might run your own business, work in a small team or be starting out in your marketing career. 

Please note, you will need to have a GA4 account already set up in order to take part in this session. This session will not cover how to set up an account. .

What's the refund policy? Tickets are refundable up to 4 working days before the event start time. After this deadline, tickets are non-refundable; however, they may be transferred to another person for the same event or to another event of the same value. To arrange a transfer, please email Poppy at with the booking name and details of the new attendee or preferred alternative event.

*Eventbrite booking fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or there are duplicate charges.

Can I attend if I am not a member of the Chamber? If you have never been a member of the Chamber you can book and join as a guest at two of our events (just one Chamber Breakfast).
