Whether you've been dreaming about writing for years and need help getting started, or just need the time and space to get those ideas down, this immersive day retreat will give you the tools, confidence, and clarity to move forward and start writing that book you've always talked about writing!

With hands-on workshops, expert guidance, and a special guest talk 'Unforgettable Fiction: An inspiring talk on writing a novel that hooks readers (and agents!)' from award-winning author Liam Brown, you'll leave with a clear novel blueprint, renewed motivation, and the first steps towards getting your manuscript on the page.

This is more than just a day away — it’s a transformational experience for anyone serious about writing a novel. Whether you're looking for a luxury writing retreat in the UK, a place to begin your writing journey, or a day to reconnect with your creativity, this retreat is designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward with purpose.
About our guest writer, Liam Brown

Liam is the author of five novels, including Evergreens, winner of the RNA Contemporary Romantic Novel of the Year 2024. His novel Skin was shortlisted for The Guardian’s Not the Booker Prize in 2019 and his novel Broadcast was optioned by a major Hollywood studio. He also teaches creative writing in a range of settings and brings a wealth of insight into the craft and business of writing.
About the Location

Rarely open to the public, Guy's Cliffe House is a magnificent location with a rich history steeped in myth, legend, and even romance! Once a magnificent stately home that overlooks the River Avon, the location is now home to the freemasons, and still houses an old chapel and secret cave, said to be the hermitage used by Sir Guy of Warwick back in the Saxon age. The current, more modern building is overlooked by the ancient ruins in a building that holds a few surprises of its own! This location is the very definition of a ‘secret writing retreat.’
