Spend an evening at America's Stonehenge surrounded by stones and stars!
Begin your evening with a guided tour of America's Stonehenge led by expert museum staff. Along the path, you will see ancient ruins, ceremonial walls, and majestic standing stones. Many of these stones were erected by an ancient culture of stone builders who were also observing the heavens, as these monoliths form a complex astronomical calendar that tracks the movement of the sun, moon, and stars. Discussion will center around archeoastronomy, the collaborative field of research involving both archaeology and astronomy. The tour will culminate at the summit of Mystery Hill, from which you can watch the sunset over the western walls and monoliths.
Afterward, the group will gather around a campfire, enjoy refreshments, and gaze at the stars as they appear in the night sky. Take time for questions and answers with your tour guide or simply enjoy the beautiful night skies that are visible here on the site.
