LA Biotech Hike: Stoddard Peak Community Hike + Potluck Pool Party at Private Residence for Repeat Hikers Only

For the next LA Biotech Hike, we’re heading to Stoddard Peak for a community hike — followed by a potluck + pool party for repeat hikers only. The hike is open to the LA biotech community and friends, so whether it’s a first hike or a familiar trail, come join us for the moderately challenging climb, the views, and the conversations along the way.

Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026

Time: 6:30 AM

Trailhead (TH) Location: Stoddard Peak Trailhead -- Use GPS Latitude/Longitude: 34.22270072861961, -117.66764360194466

To reach the trailhead, enter Stoddard Peak in Upland, CA as your GPS destination. As you travel up Mt. Baldy Road (approximately 5 miles) look for the Barrett Stoddard Road sign (pictured below) and a small power substation. (Note: the TH is 1.5 miles before reaching Mt. Baldy Village. If you reach the village, you've gone too far.)

At this point, turn right onto the paved driveway and follow it downhill to the parking area below the main road.

The key landmark is the intersection of Barrett Stoddard Road (dirt) and Mt. Baldy Road. This is where you’ll turn off Mt. Baldy Road to access the trailhead.

🚗 Caravan Meetup Option – 5:50 AM For those who’d like to drive up together, meet at Starbucks in Sycamore Hills Plaza:📍 2129 W 16th St, Upland, CA

We'll head to the trailhead from there at 6:15 AM sharp.
