Stockton Walking & Cycling Hub Beginners Guided Ride
About this Event
Stockton Walking & Cycling Hub Beginners Guided Ride
Where & When & Meet our ride team!
We meet every Wednesday at 10am inside the Stockton Walking & Cycling Hub on the High Street.
We have accessible toilets, as well as bike scooter parking & secure lockers for any items you'd rather not take on the ride*
At your pace, a ride not a race!
That way, you can focus on building your confidence at a pace that's right for you. All of this makes our beginner bike rides a supportive, inclusive way to get cycling.
Enjoy the ride
Once you've mastered the basics, and you feel comfortable handling the bike, you will be able to enjoy the ride. This is where you'll feel the be4nefits that cycling can offer, whether that's for low cost travel, health, wellbeing or just to get you outdoors.
If you're new, or retruning to riding a bike, our rides will help you to:
- Gain confidence & feel comfortable balancing & handling a bike
- Learn new skills to keep you safe on a bike
- Uncover traffic-free riding routes in the area
- Build your fitness
- Be outdoors with like-minded people, also new to cycling
No bike? No problem!
We have bikes and helmets you can use for the ride (at no cost) if you don't have your own.
We have 2 wheeeled bikes and a 3-wheeled trike. Our bikes are all manual, we don't have e-bikes.
Rides take place every Wednesday at 10am (weather permitting) and will last roughly an hour and a half. (we include comfort and refreshment breaks)
Children under 16 are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult (for the duration of the ride)
