Stockroom Soundsystem

Come help us build our very own Soundsystem at Stockroom, from cabinet building, to installing drivers, we will cover it all.
About this Event

Stockroom Soundsystem is a series of free hands-on workshops for young people aged 16–25. You will help us build and launch Stockroom's very own soundsystem.
If you are unable to make a session, please make these available to other people.
Saturday Session dates:
25TH July - Cabinet Build
5TH Sept - Identity
3RD Oct - Drivers and Amplifiers
7TH Nov - Cables, Connecting and Testing
Working alongside Joe Ramsden (of Golden Lounge Sound) and us here at Stockroom, participants will explore and learn many stages of making a soundsystem. From constructing speaker cabinets and installing drivers and amplifiers, to developing the soundsystem's identity, branding and manifesto. Finally we will cover the setup and testing of the finished soundsystem itself.
Whether you're interested in music, sound engineering, design + making, a budding event promoter, DJ, or creative collaboration is your thing; this is a perfect opportunity to gain practical skills while contributing to a lasting community resource.
We are looking for keen young folk who want to join us for as much of this journey as possible to maximise the experience for all invovled.
