Stockholm Women’s Kendo Camp 2026

Welcome to our second camp held in Sweden's beautiful capital Stockholm!
The event is led by two highly experienced kendo practitioners who have coached national women's and men's teams, taught at international seminars, served as referees at high-level competitions. At the World Kendo Championship level, they have achieved notable results and/or fighting spirit recognition as coaches/and or competitors.
This camp aims to provide a dedicated space for women (cis and trans) and non-binary practitioners, groups that are often underrepresented within the kendo community.
Registration from people of all genders are welcome, provided they understand and support the event's focus on fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for self-identifying women and non-binary participants.
The use of the term women is intentional. Historically and across many societies, the category of women has often been positioned as secondary, less authoritative, or less visible. Women continue to face barriers, discrimination, harassment, and underrepresentation in sport and martial arts communities.
By centring women in this event, we aim not only to create opportunities for participation and development, but also to challenge these perceptions and contribute to a culture in which women and gender diverse people are valued, respected, and recognised as leaders, coaches, officials, and athletes.
This event aims to create a safe and inclusive space to enjoy learning and challenging ourselves through kendo together.
