OUR BELOVED NOOOORDIIISKA GÄÄÄÄSTERRR!!!The event you have all been looking forward to this whole year is almost here, the STOCKHOLM NORDIC WEEK!!! Taking place in the amazing Swedish capital, just before the winter season kicks in!
This year’s theme is “Insurance law - liability, coverage, and the boundaries of protection”. This topic will be covered throughout the week, and hopefully help you if your flight gets delayed on the way home! Of course, the week does not only involve lectures, but surprises, Hytte out in the Swedish woods, Nordic sittning, sillis, and of course - our sublime Årsbal!
For our dear early birds, we will host a pre-party on Tuesday at a place tp be determined. This is a perfect way to start the week with some wonderful student-friendly priced alcohol:) You will of course be able to pick up your goodiebags here as well!
On Wednesday the week officially starts! No matter if you have stayed a night already or just flew in, we will begin by meeting at Juristernas hus, where you can pick up your goodiebags and leave your bags. Then it is time for our first surprise - a cultural one at that (note: no special clothes are needed). After our wonderful cultural experience it is time for an educational one - the week's first lecture, by Kompass advokater. Then it is time for the most wonderful of events: HYTTE. There will not be much time between the lecture and the departure for hytte, so bring all your stuff with you from the start of the day!!! The theme is “Disco all night” so we expect some great disco fashion!
Wakeyy wakeyyy everyone! Hope you got some sleep, for a new day is upon us! After some good breakfast we head back to the city for our second lecture!!! After some wonderful new knowledge about the world of insurance, it is time for the CULPA CUP! This wonderful event has been a part of our nordic collaboration for a long time, so get ready for greatness. For this event it is recommended to have some sporty attire. After some very serious competition, it’s time for some (more) drinks and of course, some great karaoke - time to belt out those songs! MAMMA MIA HERE I GO AGAIN
The night is not yet over! We continue to an after party in the city center, because MY MY HOW CAN I RESIST YOU
GOOD MORNING! It is now Friday, and you know what that means - a NORDIC SITTNING. But hold your horses, first we have a lecture and lunch at IF! After some information about what actually helps if disaster strikes, we head to a somewhat sweaty sport surprise:) We then have a MELLANDÖD where you are free to go home and shower, or simply go and explore the city. After you have got your sightseeing done, we have another surprise - but this time it is a groovy surprise! NOW the time has come for the nordic sittning! The theme is TBD.
The day has now come! On Saturday we will have our amazzzzing ÅRSBAL. So bring your most beautiful clothes and meet us on Juristernas hus so you can get your Stockholm Nordic Week medal! After the medal ceremony we head for the årsbal which this year takes place in Konserthuset - right in the city center. After the årsbal is over, the evening has just begun and we continue partying all night long!
The final day of the week is now here. For Saturday it is of course time for SILLIS. If you have some great overalls, bring ‘em and then it is time for a sill iand then the (in)famous BUBBLIS! When the Intsek has hidden and been found the week is over, and vi SES I NORDEN!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Contact your local Int.Sek. and they will sign you up. The price for the whole week is 200 EURO and for Helgen (28-30/11) it is 180 EURO. Each association has 3 spots (possible extra spots will be handed out after signup has closed).
