The Cedars at Greenbrier is hosting a community donation drive to support Samaritan House, an organization that provides safe shelter, crisis services, and long‑term support for individuals and families escaping domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness in Hampton Roads.When someone arrives at Samaritan House, they often come with very little. The items we collect help stock their shelters and transitional homes so survivors can begin rebuilding their lives with dignity, stability, and comfort.
We are collecting new, unopened household and hygiene essentials that directly support adults and children entering safe housing. These items are used immediately inside Samaritan House shelters and outreach programs across the region.
If you’re able to give, your contribution will make a real difference for someone starting over.
WHAT TO DONATE
New, unopened items such as:
• Shampoo and body wash
• Toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Deodorant
• Towels and bedding (twin or full)
• Blankets and pillows
• Shower curtains and hooks
• Dish sets and kitchen basics
• Laundry detergent, bleach, and cleaning supplies
• Paper towels, toilet paper, and disinfecting wipes
• Hand soap, dish soap, and sponges
• Aluminum foil and other household essentials

Drop off anytime during office hours.
DEADLINE
All donations must be received by June 18.

Samaritan House is one of the most impactful support systems in our area. They provide emergency shelter, counseling, case management, advocacy, and the basic necessities people need when they are leaving unsafe situations.
